12, The Hanged Man
Perpetual poetry, suspended motion
Batten the hatches and brave the Ocean.
Gaze upon Hanged Man, self-sacrifice
Any death by double cross, greatest of vice.
His reason to retreat: a solstice in time
The rising sunshine one needed to rhyme-
Hung by Yggdrasill, Hanged Odin learns
That knowledge of lust and love only burns-
But still he remains, inverted jubilation!
From here he sees today's orientation.
11, Justice
Lately a half-life has my time been,
Sink and decay into sleepless dream.
But enter Justice- order in the court!
Let brigand Athena, rise, face the fort.
See the misjudgments the Fraulein averts,
Stranded on our island of just desserts
Madness in darkness, her method in pitch
The strongest of allies, a matter of switch.
But Closer, Conflicted; the scales are upset.
Though Titus planned it, I cannot taste yet.
Closer
The sycamore seeds do ride the breeze
And delicate foliage blows through trees.
Yet gales bring structures to their knees.
So I hold her closer.
The warm hearth toasts our faces red
Crackling flames whisper whilst in bed.
Yet these same flames cremate the dead.
So I hold her closer.
Dewdrops they drip at day break
Relaxing the sound of a gentle lake
Yet bubbles burst, and another you make.
So I let her go?
Conflicted
Leave me?
Despite these blooming weeks of bliss
But that's
Despite this; and this; the last kiss!
I don't want
Despite the anxious promises made
And they mean
Despite how we were bound, so stayed
This isn't what
Leave me.
More
I have no kind of education
I have no positive aspects
I have no faith or religion
I have little, few prospects
I don't got any friendship
I don't got any ties
I don't got house nor home at all
I don't got anything but lies
I ain't go no more money
I ain't got no more love
I ain't got no more life
I ain't got words
Heart, Break
I live life with this burden-
Fastened tightly to my core
One could sever it, remove it,
And two would pain me more.
Hammer it shut, conceal it,
That what I would term a curse,
To others despite splinters,
It is greatness, blessing, or worse!
For my tongue I must withhold,
And my heart would have me lose
This offspring of god's memory
The shining darkness of the Muse,
And not is what will do for dreams
While not is what not seems.
A Terrible Beauty
Your features are finer than the finest china.
Not the least
Of what comes from the East
And your lips are neither ruby nor red
But the thickest crimson that blood has bled.
What a picturesque setting for an unsettling picture.
Love is a battlefield, or so they say.
10, The Wheel of Fortune
Fortuna smiles from ox-drawn cart
Marking a spot on crosshaired heart
First Fate, The Thunder, eyrie her cry
Celebrates the spice one cannot deny
Then Second Sister, Lightning the load
Corners me like these feelings in code
And Final Goddess, rain-Fate to man,
May always call darkness just by my hand
Four more letters and a thirteenth sign-
Quiver as Artermis draws one more time.
9, The Hermit
Next drawn nine from Plato's cave
Across the waste land Eliot braved
Is Heimdall of Asgard, lantern is lit
Cardinal second, firstly Hermit.
Know myself Thales? After a fashion;
Still meet mysteries, rival in passion
Begin with magician, conclude with sun,
But Eula the moon, you through cross-sum!
According to Cronus, Titan takes Time
But retreat cannot be the ultimate rhyme.

Onwards and Upwards
We have seen a lot these years, my friend,
Too soon, our time together will end
We have been together come rain or shine,
And prayed the train will be there by nine
We have listened for hours within these walls,
The clash of swordplay in the Halls
The merry laughter and the rowdy voices,
The gentle rustle of paper, the toughest choices
You taught me to aim toward the sky,
To walk along with my head held high
Offered a kindly hand when I was weak,
Broadened my shoulders, gave ground 'neath my feet
Clapped my back through victory and elation,
Guided me toward hard earned celebration
Alas, our company is reduced to days,
For after
Hello people! If by some fluke of the internets you have managed to stumble upon this page of otherworldly wisdom, I congratulate you. A brief introduction to those not in the know: I'm Eoin, 21.5 (I found my age using a calculator), and an Irishman, born and bred on the Emerald Isle.
The first 23 additions (perhaps the last, depending on how my da Vinci-stylee attention span serves me) are going to involve the Major Arcana part of the Tarot deck. Now, I'm totally understanding of people who aren't interested in the stuff-they either have no faith in it, or just don't want to get involved. Perfectly acceptable. I respect it, because that's m
